Designers, let me know if you will participate. I sent a notice inside the group with the guides and rules on how this event will be and what you can do. In order to be able to send that day notices if this is not your day assigned we need to know who will participate. Dont fail letting me know in advance.

This event is a wonderful opportunity to promote your store and let the members know your creations. it is a simple participation so please send me a notecard letting me know that you will participate. If you need a Model let me know and I can provide you with one.

Interview with Marysha Siamendes (SiamInk Designs)

It has been quite a time since we posted the last interview with one of our designers. This time we are re-taking that effort and presents to you an interview we did to Marysha Siamendes from SiamInk Designs. With these interviews our goals is to give you the opportunity to known better our designers; know about their stories and how the became what they are now in SL and maybe some of you can find here an inspiration to start a career as designer. I hope you like it.

1.WHAT IS YOUR SL NAME?
Marysha Siamendes

2. WHEN YOU STARTED PLAYING SL?
About 3 years ago, I’ve started with Marysha Siamendes on 8/17/2008 and since that I have my own brand.

3. WHERE DO YOU HEAR ABOUT SL FOR FIRST TIME?
On the television, there was a woman wich was earning a lot of money with SL. So I thaught, I want that too.

4. WHAT BROUGHT YOU TO COME TO SL?
I wanted to earn money with a “game” wich I liked.

5. NOW THAT YOU ARE A BUSINESS PERSON IN THIS WORLD WHAT IS THE NAME OF YOUR BUSINESS AND HOW YOU DECIDE THAT NAME FOR IT?
My Business is called SiamInk Designs. Siamink I have choose because Siam is a part of my last name and Ink because the main products are tattoos. And Designs I have choose because I also want to design other things as well.

6. DID YOU CAME HERE THINKING OF BECOMING A DESIGNER SINCE THE BEGINNING OR IT HAPPENED LATER DURING YOUR WEEKS AT THE GAME? TELL US A LITTLE ABOUT THAT.
When I was first in the game I saw a lot of casino’s , and I saw that people make great money with that. So I wanted a casino also. But later there where no casinos anymore so I was thinking what can I do. I first started to resell stuff.. Then a friend told me that I must do something with my photoshop experience to make more money in sl. So there I was behind my PC thinking what can I make…. And then my first tattoo was born.

7. WHAT EXACTLY YOU DO AS DESIGNER I MEAN WHAT YOU CREATE?
I create Tattoos and I have also a couple of jeans and shorts now. But There will be more in the future. And I also do custom designs, so when people want to have a custom design tattoo they just can IM me.

8. DO YOU THINK HAS BEEN HARD TO BE RECOGNIZED AS DESIGNER AND HAVING AN INCREASE IN YOUR SALES?
Yes I think it is hard… But when you spend time in it you will be recognized and you must be patient. You must look wich way you can do it the best…

9. FROM WHERE YOU GET YOUR INSPIRATION TO CREATE, TO DESIGN; THE MUSA?
Just what I have in my head, and what I think what is nice.

10. DO YOU HOLD ANY OFFICIAL TITLE THAT SHOW YOU AS A MASTER IN WHAT YOU DESIGN? I MEAN A TITLE GIVEN TO YOU BY ANY SL ORGANIZATION OR SCHOOL.
No I don’t have that

11. DO YOU THINK IS HARD THE COMPETITON HERE AS DESIGNER? WHY?
Yes, there are so many good designers, but like I told already when you spend time in it you will be recognized and you must be patient. You must look wich way you can do it the best…

12. FOR HOW LONG HAS YOU BEEN DESIGNING HERE PROFESSIONALY? TELL US A LITTLE HOW YOU HAVE EVOLVED.
I first started to let my friends see my first tattoo I had made. And they where telling me that I must make more to open a shop. So I made an Alt ( Marysha Siamendes ) to start the business with… sincs that day I have created more designs, and a lot of custom design work. The first months where hard …. No I have more time and energy to do more advertisements etc etc. Now Marysha Siamendes is not an ALT anymore , she is me…. I can tell you now that all the work and energy was good to do… I make money and 2 weeks ago I have open a very nice mainstore. A big shop, wich is custom build for me. And the money I have spent now and will spend , it is all from my business.

13. DO YOU THINK YOUR DESIGNS ARE DIFFERENT AND UNIQUE? WHY? EXPLAIN A LITTLE.
Yes, I think my designs are original. I see a lot of tattoo shops with fake tattoos. I mean they look like a sticker. Yes there are also very good other tattoo designers. My designs are faded, so then it will look more real. I also do all the layers , so not only a undershirt. And I also hear from people that they are very original.

14. DO YOU HAVE TIME TO HAVE FUN? HOW DO YOU BALANCE YOUR SL AS DESIGNER WITH YOUR SL AS A NORMAL RESIDENT?
Yes I have fun, I have also fun when I create tattoos. Because my sl boyfriend is also my boyfriend in real live, so I dint have to cuddle in sl the whole time hahaha. So can save time ;-) I love also to party and that’s why I am also a DJ once in a week.

15. IT IS POSSIBLE TO HAVE A ROMANCE AND BEING A DESIGNER AT THE SAME TIME? WHY ? HOW YOU HANDLE OR WOULD HANDLE THAT SITUATION?
Yes it is possible. I know my real life boyfriend because of sl. When I first saw him, he wanted to order a custom tattoo. And when it was getting serious with us in sl , he was always telling me, that when I must business I must do that and not letting my business fade away. I think when you have a romance in sl the other person must let you do also your business.

16. ANY ADVICE OR RECOMMENDATION YOU WANT TO GIVE TO OTHER DESIGNERS, BUYERS OR RESIDENTS?
To Other designers I want to say : Just keep up the good work, be patient and don’t let other people tell you what to do !. To buyers I want to say , come and take a look in my mainstore and look at my designs and maybe buy something hahaha. And to all residents : Have fun in SL and respect all people.

Thanks you Marysha for sharing with us your story. I wish you the best and hope that our group can help a little in the growing of your business.

Now everybody knows that is really true that in SL a lot of people is making real money. It is possible; you just need to focus, commit and start working. I know this too cus i heard a story of a lady that is making more money in SL that what she did in her real life job. So explore your talents and try to see what you can do best and start working on it. It is not easy but is not impossible neither.

Dont forget that Marysha do custom work so if you have a tatoo in RL and want it in SL maybe Marysha can make it for you. :)

Hugss!!!

Our Fashion Show Last Night was a Real Blast yeeeh haaah!!!

As many of you already know Fashion Trend had the 4th Fashion Show last night at 7 PM SLT. We were there with models since around 6 PM. My nerves were starting lol. But still were under control. Then about 5 minutes before starting people began to pop up there; a little bit more nervous now. Then, just 1 minute to start and that was one avi after the other popping there. Believe me, when I saw that I started to shiver.

We had an amazing attendance of 95 avatars in our event. The sim owner Lucincia Muliaina was in charged to monitor that and we could sustain that attendance for the whole hour and a half the show lasted. phew!!!! what a night! It was just amazing; last night I adored the lag cus it was basically caused more for the presence of so many people than other reasons.

We ended the show and ppl were still there; all sitting and chilling like if they dont want to leave. What an experience!

I did a great effort in advertising the event but i know that without the help of the models; their friends, the designers and their groups and the help of our lovely members that wouldn't be as it was.

We showcased 5 fabulous designers and among them there was Studio Nails that never showcased before. They do prim nails that come with a HUD and something that really deserved to be with us last night and let the community know about this different way of wearing nails. Also as always we had 4 talented clothing designers and some of them do more than just that. The quality is unquestionable; because as all of you know; we just have good and extremely talented designers.

The designers showcasing last night were:

1. Izira Kirkorian from iZa Boutique
2. Maryjane Wellesly from Mary Jane's Designs
3. Akaya and Redsoledrea Gossipgirl from Total Betty
4. Anastasia Magic from Studio Nails
5. Monica Outlander from Miamai

I feel extremely proud of our designers, Models and Members. Designers are always so kind with our group and willing to participate; the Models are so commited and they handle so well any situation we can face backstage that is incredible; and members just... no words to talk about them. I was so pleased that they went with low Avatar Rendering Cost and there some that did not have it low put it low as per my request and that was appreciated. I would say that 99% of guests were with the Avatar Rendering Cost in Green. That demonstrate that our group is full of people that love fashion and understand this business.

I dont have time to be jumping from blog to blog because my hands are so full. But if you know of any blogger commenting on our show please dont hesitate to let me know. I invited last night bloggers and Magazines Editors and some were there. I hope that our event inspire them to talk about us and let the SL community know that we exist and that we have a purpose with them in mind first.

We already have some pictures of the event in our web page www.fashiontrendgroup.webs.com. Feel free to see them and to join our site.

Thanks everybody for supporting me in our events. That is my reward; seeing you there and knowing that you are enjoying it. Hugs!!!!

And Out Models Continue with their Achievements

In JCNY they have the competition known as "JCNY MAY WEEK SHOWCASE MODELS" . Marienna Cortes won the week One. Now again she won this round along with another of our Models; Gem Henly. Check it out.

Marienna Cortes

I send a sincere appreciation to you, JD Handson, and to the the staff of JCNY. It has been an honor and priviledge to have been once again selected as showcase model this week. I want to take the time to also thank all the people who have supported me along my journey..... Aranax, my dearest friend for thinking I am HAWT. To my right hand, Jovial Jewell, who listens to me rant and rave. Romi Dagostino, a close friend and mentor. To Fashion Trend, Atlantis Modeling, Simplicity Modeling and SLGAM Modeling agency, for believing in me. As always to my husband and best friend Stato, "...you have restored my hope, and faith in love. Your patience and gentleness have given me back my ability to trust. You are irreplaceable in my life."

Gem Henly

I would love to thank JCNY for this wonderful opportunity. I love the jewelry at JCNY because it makes me feel special. I love the designs and the elegant style of the jewelry. I am just starting out in the modeling world and I have done a few shoots. I absolutely love to model. I also enjoy strutting the run way with Fashion Trend. I want to thank Madonna Saenz for helping all of us become wonderful stars in our own way. I would also like to thank Pleasure Babii for always giving me her honest opinion on how I look.

Congratulations!!! There are other of our models that have won other competitions and As soon as they send the story to me I will share it with you. I can't feel more proud of all of you. These Models work hard to become each time a better professional. They took seriously this career and worked to pass to the next level. As a Model you need to evolve; be willing to the accept the challenges this career will make you face with.

I know that some members are trying to become models but are not willing to commit. You need to order the priorities in SL to be able to have a real career. If you want to be a Model but not willing to attend the meetings and the practices, for not sacrifying your time with friends and the person you love inside SL; then you are not ready for this yet.

You can have a life and be a model too in SL. We have girls that are married, are moms and they also have another job; and with all that they know how to hanlde their time to comply with the requirements of this career.

A modeling Career in SL is as demanding and in RL, So think twice if you really want to be a Model. Once you start; other jobs can come to you from other agencies or designers so you need to know upfront; how much time are you willing to invest in yourself as a Model.

I feel very proud of my girls and my boys. So Again Congratz and keep the good work going.

Our Models Achievements

I am so excited that some of our Models have had some achievements lately that i want to share with you those for what i have all the info or part of it.

First let me share with you what Gem Henly sent to me. Gem has been one of our Models since we started this project of helping our members to do a carreer in this field.

" I went to an open call along with Sarlah, Jennie, and Cae. The first round was a fancy dress. We walked the runway and certain people made it to the next round. In round two it was business attire. Again the same procedure was done. In round three it was swim wear/lingerie. I was so nervous at each of the elimination rounds. When it came to the finally round we had to wait for there decisions. I seemed like a life time. I made it into the finally cut and am now working with SLGLAM modeling agency. Without Madonna’s coaching I would have never made it.

Gem Henly"

And we also have our Marienna Cortes:

"I am very honored to have been selected as week 1 Showcase model for May 2009 at JCNY. I want to thank JCNY for giving me this opportunity to show what beautiful jewelry JD Hansen designs for us. JCNY offers such a great variety of fashionable jewelry that can take you from dusk to dawn. A little bit about me, I am happily married to the best husband a woman could want, Stato Meredith. I am the General Manager at the romantic Bella VIda Jazz Lounge, and enjoy that immensely. I would like to take this opportunity to thank Madonna Saenz (Fashion Trend) for believing in me and giving me my first opportunity in modeling. Thanks also to Romi Dagostino for her fantastic dresses. Lastly, a thank you to Stato for his endless love and support."

You can read Marienna pics and post directly in: http://jcnycollection.blogspot.com/

I need to say that these are my rewards for what I am trying to do. Anything you accomplish in this career is a great pleasure for me and make me full of happines. That is what I want; help you to pursue your dreams in any way I can. That is the reason I have jumped to work hard with you, giving you that experience; the tips needed and a little bit if guidance. Our group is not only an advertisement group where designers get only the best part of it. In our Group everybody is rewarded and I work close with all of you to make you feel happy and special belonging to it. Thanks for those words all of you sent me that really make me feel that my efforts are really worthy. Thanks.
Madonna Saenz (Fashion Trend Founder).

Catch Out?

I tried to copy an entry from what I wrote in the section "From Madonna's Desk" in our website and for a reason I don't know it did not work. So please go to www.fashiontrendgroup.webs.com and check my desk. Sorry about this but I am in my iMAC and the copy and paste did not work properly. The entry is an interesting one about designers that have received warnings.

Fashion show in March 28 2009 backstage

Hi everybody:

Do you miss me? I know you do. :) RL have me a little bit busy and away from SL these last few days after the show; but will be back today hopefully.

I am very pleased with our past Fashion Show (March 28, 2009). We did a double modeling that was really very synchronized except for a very few situations due to lag for some models and login issues for others. Minor things; well those related with the walk.

I need to say that the ppl that sorrounds me and are helping me are amazing. Starting with Lucincia Muliaina who is the owner of the sim where we do this and the builder for our events. Also need to thank the models that helped me a lot not only whith one of the rehearsals when I couldnt be there, but also with some situations we had backstage. They handled all very professionally.

If you were there you saw our runway at almost floor level. That was to make it looks like in RL fashion shows; models performing a synchronized double modeling plus as always, our designers walking the runway at the end of each turn and talking directly to the audience. That is something that make me feel so ahhh like WOW every time I see and handle that part. I would love to use voice; but with two puppies around me barking sometimes when playing and with the visitors I have at home sometimes in RL would be impossible for me to do Voice.

By the time you are reading this; some pictures, kindly sent to me by one of our Models; Pleasure Babii, will be available at our web page www.fashiontrendgroup.webs.com. There you can also see the quality of the gifts our members receive as a reward for being part of this wonderful group.

Now lets go backstage a little to give u a hint of all what an event like this can bring.

My work is not only finding models; those with experience just need to learn the walk and be commited for the day of the event and some of the rehearsals at least. Now; new models not only need to learn that; but also I need to check their poses, skins and shape proportions to give them advice. I also have to let them know (and this is like in a Flash) how to handle folder for fast change. I have to collect all designers notecards and organize them in order and edit them with the number of channel 1 in front of each sentence i will drop on the chat and insert comments and rearrange what is needed. I also need to be pending on Logo changes at each designer turn. I need to be really careful because I cut and paste every sentence from notecards to drop it at the chat. So I need to be pending if a name of one model is replaced at last minute due to issues with the model that were supposed to be there. And this happened several times during our show because one model crash and couldn't log back in and another was absent. I need to check with Designers also about whatever they need.

Then before the event; I need to figure out how i want the walk and the finale for designers. All this need to be practiced by them; models and designers. I also during the last minutes before to start; I used to make my last call in the group via notice with a landmark so ppl can tp there fast.

It is like a little chaos; that we handle very well; Me , Designers and Models. In each event I see what we need to fine tune, improve or add.

The booths available for designers to place their merchandise is a must that we offer to those participating and again Lucincia is the one that let that happen.

Is funny sometimes all the chaos backstage; some of our models just relog at seconds before doing the walk and they handled that very well. You dont have an idea how it is feel when you are about to announce a model that is telling you in the private channel we have; " My hair dont attach" . It is for me to faint lol. And then all of a sudden hearing her saying; " finally all attached". Then the big relieve.

Another crazy moment is when in the last minute one model crashed so instead of two we had one in the runway and the one that crashed came back fast and I told her to walk and she came out after the previous and they managed the walk like if nothing was going on. That is amazing for me and show their profesionalism. And they can even laugh about all that :). When i want to pull my hair off my head hahahahaha. It is so funny but now cus at the moment I am here almost not breathing. :)

And the toughest for me to handle: in the last seconds one model substituing another and then me changing the names in the notecard; or when the crashed thing happened like i said before and I need to scroll down the notecard to just describe the outfit of one model and then the other just came back and hit the runway so i need to scroll up now; to drop the lines about the descriptions of this one. It is a madness; but believe me a delicious one.

But the bad thing for me is that i have several notecards opened at my desktop and the chat also so i just see the models from the distance I place my camera. I cant move the camera to take pictures or to give their a closer look because I cant take away my eyes from the chat and notecards. So I miss a lot of the fashion show :( and just see the clothe when I receive some pictures. The final rehearsal is the same and I only can see some clothe from models that stay a little bit more after the practice; that final one.

At the end; I stayed with the sweet flavor of having fashion shows that I know people do like because despite all the goods and bads going on backtage; the girls really know how to handle it and they helped each other a lot. :) I am really proud of our team.

So based on all this and the stress I had and also some of the designers I decided to make a fashion show bymonthly. Then the spanish designers; and models; that also need and deserve a change too will have their fashion show that month i will not be organizing one.

But guess what? Arlene Lisle and EntreModelos will handle that for us and I will modellllllllllllllll hahahaha. I will talk about this a little bit more later.

Now go to the web site; enjoy the pictures and see you soon. I do love you.

Hugsss!!!! and thanks.

Getting ready for our March 28 Fashion Show

I am very excited about our next fashion show this March 28 at 5 Pm SLT. I have my hands full again but i love it.

The runway that Lucincia Muliaina has built for us is incredibly gorgeous; I love the fact that we decided this time to have it floor level like in RL fashion shows.

I am now in the process of selecting the designers that will be in and the models. So this mean rush rush lol.

So this time i hope that nobody miss it. We will also have a wonderful reception after the show with 2 live performers and a live DJ. So keep your eyes opened.

Our 2nd Fashion Show on Feb 06/2009

:D We had our 2nd Fashion Show on February 6 of 2009. This is part of the big effort we are doing to provide our designers with a very helpful tool to make their customers to know them better, to acquire new customers and to get more exposure within the grid.

Opium Fashion Agency helped me to put this one together. Indeed this time I didn't do anything. I thank Alianna Logan for giving us as a group the opportunity to have this show.

It was something different and unique. The guests had the option to be dancing while watching; so no chairs available at the place. This was totally different. ;) Also the finale of the show was a sync dance among the models.

Opium Agency used their own models. That is why the members did not participate this time.

We were delighted by 5 wonderful Fashion Trend Designers: A&K, Sascha Designs, iZa Boutique, Zaph Creations and WoE. The guys looked spectacular. Well this doesnt mean the girls did not too; but my gosh these guys were so handsome that I was like; uhmm I need one of those just for my self hahahaha. A joke! Dont want trouble with any girl.

I have several projects in mind. It will take time to put all of them in place and I hope my RL let me complete this dream little by little.

Our group is very different and unique. I can promise that it is worthy been a member and a Designer posting on it.

I am giving you all I have to make it special. The only thing I ask in return is Designers to not break the rules; The members to support our designers and follow us wherever we go as a group. A want you to be a group and a force at the same time. I want the members to feel that they are appreciated as well as designers and that ALL of you are important and not merely readers of notices.

Thanks to all of you for helping me in achieving this part of my vision and mission. And also to all those members that has expressed to me how happy they are in the group and how special it is for them. You dont know the Joy I feel when you let me know that.

A big hug to our members, designers and to our colaborators.

About our First Fashion Show

I am really satisfied with the results of this very first event. The attendance was incredible and despite the two hours duration we could keep an average in that last half an hour of 60 and 50 people.

I want to thank all the guests that followed the guides I sent out to help us with the lag. The true is that just very few people went with an outrageous Avatar Rendering Cost.

Putting together something like this would not be possible without the help and cooperation of friends and some group members. Thanks to all of you.

Now we have the next fashion show coming up in February 6 at 1 PM SLT. I will be sending out more info about this during the week. I hope you also follow us in the 2nd fashion show we will have with great designers just for you. I still dont have the complete list of those that said yes for this one because I was so involved with the first one that Opium Agency took care of all related to it. But i can tell you in Advance that we will have again Izira Kirkorian, Sascha Frangilli and Zaphiry Bonetto. I know that they are putting together a very special event just for all of us.

So please keep an eye opened for my notices. Ah before I forget; I put some pictures of the fashion show in our website: www.fashiontrendgroup.webs.com.

Hugs!!!

Cangri Capalini - This is like my brother. He built the runway for us. He says he is not a builder but my gosh all what he does is just so nice and the taste he has for decorations is really amazing.
Malu Zhao: As soon as I said I needed a DJ she offered her services and has done a great job with the music selected for this event.

Marienna Cortez - Manager of Bella Vidas that will be waiting for us in the after event party. She also offered to us the Bella Vida's Runway for future shows.
Keely Lutrova - She will be singing for us in the after event party; at Bella Vida's and will sing a song I requested.

Interview with Tatianna Faulkes from fab.pony

fab.pony_logo_jpeg As part of our efforts to make you know better and closest your SL Designers, we continue interviewing them. Due to the upcoming Fashion Show, my hands have been really full but I always take a time to manage all pending things.

This time with all of you the Designer behind fab.pony. Enjoy!

________

Q. WHAT IS YOUR SL NAME?

A. Tatianna Faulkes

Q.  WHEN YOU STARTED PLAYING SL?

A. February 2008

Q.  WHAT BROUGHT YOU TO COME TO SL?

A. Designing and branding

Q. NOW THAT YOU ARE A BUSINESS PERSON IN THIS WORLD WHAT IS THE NAME OF YOUR BUSINESS AND HOW YOU DECIDE THAT NAME FOR IT?

A. Fab.Pony, short for Fabulous Pony... I wanted to dress a girl that is somewhat of a show-off and always impeccably styled, always ready for action.

Q. DID YOU CAME HERE THINKING OF BECOMING A DESIGNER SINCE THE BEGINNING OR IT HAPPENED LATER DURING YOUR WEEKS AT THE GAME? TELL US A LITTLE ABOUT THAT.

A. I definitely started designing immediately since I'm a RL fashion designer and was excited to express my fashion views and trends in SL.

Q. WHAT EXACTLY YOU DO AS DESIGNER i MEAN WHAT YOU CREATE?

A. I create everything a woman would need from daytime casual clothing to clubwear, footwear, skins and eyes. The only thing I'm not designing is hair.. for now.

Q. DO YOU THINK HAS BEEN HARD TO BE RECOGNIZED AS DESIGNER AND HAVING AN INCREASE IN YOUR SALES?

A. For sure at the beginning your sales won't be phenomenal, because you need time for word of mouth about your brand to spread.  After while, the sales skyrocketed and has been stable for quite some time now, especially when I have new releases.

9. FROM WHERE YOU GET YOUR INSPIRATION TO CREATE, TO DESIGN; THE MUSA?

A. Fabulous and trendy girls in SL are my muse -- the 'it' girl in SL is a very strong and independent woman, who knows what she wants so I design according to what she would like to wear on a night out, a date, or just hanging out with friends.

I'm also heavily inspired by RL fashion trends that are constantly changing. I keep my eyes open always to what's the next hot trend by reading fashion magazines, blogs, and clothing stores.

Q. DO YOU THINK IS HARD THE COMPETITON HERE AS DESIGNER? WHY?

A. Competition is something you can be absorbed with or just accept as a tool to improve your product - I choose the 2nd perspective, because otherwise I wouldn't be as focused on my own merchandise.. but for sure there are tons of exceptional talent in SL and I love to see this level of creativity, it's inspiring.

Q. DO YOU THINK YOUR DESIGNS ARE DIFFERENT AND UNIQUE? WHY? EXPLAIN A LITTLE.

A. I try my best to keep things different and unique and will abstain from looking at others designs when I'm in my creative period, for fear of being influenced in some way.  Often I receive comments from customers about how they love the bright colors, fun patterns and realistic design and texture in my products.

Q. DO YOU HAVE TIME TO HAVE FUN? HOW DO YOU BALANCE YOUR SL AS DESIGNER WITH YOUR SL AS A NORMAL RESIDENT?

A. I go through periods where I am working very hard, then times when I just like to go out to clubs, dance and meet people. Sometimes work and pleasure intermix, where I meet customers or people I work with and end up being friends with them, that's always fun.

Q. IT IS POSSIBLE TO HAVE A ROMANCE AND BEING A DESIGNER AT THE SAME TIME? WHY ? HOW YOU HANDLE OR WOULD HANDLE THAT SITUATION?

A. It would be ideal to meet a guy that is as passionate about a creative SL business as I am, but enjoys partying as wel.. although I try to stick to my long-ago decision since starting SL that my main focus here is Fab.Pony...I get in less trouble this way :P

Q. ANY ADVICE OR RECOMMENDATION YOU WANT TO GIVE TO OTHER DESIGNERS, BUYERS OR RESIDENTS?

A. Customer service is key when starting any business in either worlds.  Clients will appreciate you taking the time to just say hello, or fit a prim for a particular size. At the same time you'll gain valuable information on their opinion on your brand, which is important.  Other than that, I love my shoppers - they're brand-loyal and generous with compliments, I owe my success to them and enjoy designing because of this positive relationship.

Thanks Tatianna for taking time and share with us your story.

Guides to attend the 1st Fashion Trend Fashion Show

English version:

Thanks for deciding to be with us in this magnificent day.

To make the event a pleasant one for each of you we need your cooperation. As most of you know; Lag is the worst enemy that Fashion Shows and events have. But if all of us work together ; we can defeat that beast. :)

These are guides to follow to not bring more lag to the area of the event and then you will enjoy a nice show.

Be careful with your Avatar Rendeing Cost. Don't come with an Avatar Rendering Cost with Red Numbers.

Inside the invitation there are the guides on how to determine your Avatar Rendering Cost but here is a quick tip:

Go to Advance =>Rendering=>Info Display=> Avatar Rendering Cost

it could be the Info Display first and then Rendering; I don't remember right now the exact order but you will find it.

Once you check that ARC option a number will appear on the top of your head and everybody else head. Those numbers when in orange mean that you are bringing some lag with you; when in RED that means you carry a lot of lag. Please don't attend the show with Red Numbers.

Here are some tips that may help:

Hair:

1. Try to use hair with the less possible prim count and flexi.

Jewelry:

1. Try using very simple sets and turn bling off if possible.  If you have a set with the resize script you must know that once you fit the pieces to your body you can delete the script using the same menu that you used to resize it. Those scripts causes lag.

Clothe:

1. Try to be reasonable with the clothe. The simple the better. Pants are better instead of flexi skirts.Don't worry about looking like a model. If you want to be a model just send me a notecard telling me your name and your interest in that and i will help you as much as i can.

The fahion show is for you to enjoy watching and maybe thinking how you will look with the outfits you will see on the runway.

Shoes:

Turn off the sound; it can interfere with the event and is not nice

Other considerations:

Please try not using the chat for casual conversations once the show start. The descriptions will be sent via chat and although they will appear in green for the people to differentiate that from other talk, casual chat can interfere with the people screens and they can lost a description. They would have to open the chat to see it and then will not have the screen available to enjoy the panorama.

U can applause, say nice things to the models or designers if you want. make nice comments , but please please use the IM window to casual chat. This is to be ethic and respectful.

Ve a Advance =>Rendering=>Info Display=> Avatar Rendering Cost

Ropa:

A note from the founders

There are some topics that I would like to discuss here briefly.

Fashion Trend have a new web page: www.fashiontrendgroup.webs.com in which we have some important information that are the type that doesn't change a lot. Also, we have there a Calendar with all the upcoming events and meetings; a forum for you to express yourself and the rules for members and for designers. You want to contact us? The site offers that opportunity as well.

The blog will remain here. We don't want to fill the page with tons of text. So for news, interviews, etc, this is the place and a link is there to this blog. You can favorite the web page and keep an eye on the blog from there or favorite this blog and keep an eye on the site from here.

To designers:

We have modified the rules to reinforce some violations. We noticed that some designers are asking the members to go to their stores to pick the gifts but what they have there is the regular free gift they offer to every visitor. We have been tolerant with this rule breaking but not anymore.

The agreement you made with us is sending a gift to the group. So we will monitor that again. DONT ASK THE MEMBERS TO GO TO YOUR STORE TO GRAB A GIFT FOR THE GROUP. If you have a gift there that you want them to go and grab, fine; you can include that in your notice; but that will not be considered the gifts you should be sending to the group in the timely base we agreed since you signing as designer.

The kiosk or group sign need to be placed in your main location in a very visible area. If you want to place it in several locations fine; but we need to see it in your main location.

Although you can send notices of stuff that you created before joining the group; that doesn't mean that you will be repeating the posting about the same creations. You do it once and that's it. We understand that maybe you have gorgeous designs that our members have not seen because or they don't belong to groups where you use to post before, or they are new. So just for that reason we allow you to post about old stuff. But don't repeat notices.

I am placing the more critical rules in the web page so every designer can go and verify what is going on. But we will also be sending one by one the Rules review to each of you.

Just one warning remember; that is all what you will receive. If you want to come back; a fine will be involved. This is a new rule we are adding.

Lunna and I are quiet organized. We do all this work manually and with papers that we have in Real Life but we also have a staff that monitor the group with us. Lunna keep a close eye on notices; gifts etc and from time to time we go and visit stores to check if you are complying with the rule about the kiosk.

This situation has happened with just a very few designers. 99% are in comply with our rules and politics.

We are working for you; to help you grow your business in a very different way, compared with other advertisement groups. We want a very unique group. For that we need your help just by following the rules and get involved in our events.

To Models & Designers:

Helping our designers with the Fashion Shows Project we are also helping our members that have a dream to become a model or to have that experience at least. We are working really hard to polish you; teaching you for free with not only my help but also an avatar that is a real life model. I am not a model but I am related to the beauty industry and due to that I attend fashion shows in RL plus I love Fashion TV. So, if you tell us that you want to model or to showcase, we need a commitment from your part.

I am flexible but I don't tolerate irresponsibility. If you can't attend a meeting; the least I expect from you is a notecard with an excuse. SL is a game for a lot of people but it is more than that. It is a platform where real people do business, socialize, pursue dreams and interact with each other. A respect must be given to those people behind avatars. Don't tell me that at least once you haven't feel a real life emotion while in SL. So your emotions get also triggered in the same way RL does.

We still need like 4 more female models; 4 haven't respond to confirm they will participate in this upcoming fashion show. I will have a meeting with prospects so please if you want to model for us; send me a notecard. The event will be January 24 at 5 PM SLT. Check your RL schedule prior to send me the notecard telling me you want to participate. I would love to find somebody willing to host for us that day. I would really prefer to be backstage and helping the designers and models.

I have been more than lucky to meet wonderful people through this group. Our models have been very committed and designers as well. The people helping us in this endeavor is amazing. Thanks to all of you. I do hope we can make this group a very special one.

Love,

Madonna Saenz & Lunna Merlin

Our new Web Page

Hi everybody and happy new year to all of you.

This is to inform you that the group has already its webpage which is www.fashiontrendgroup.webs.com. There is a permanent link from here to there and from there to here. In the site we will have our rules for members, soon our rules for designers and also a calendar with the meetings and events.

Also you can suscribe to the page and contact us whenever you want. If you visit there please sign our guests book. We will appreciate to know who visited us.

We will keep the blog here to not overload that page with a lot of text. It is enough with the about us and the home info. Here to know about anything we want to write and comment and there to be updated with everything about us.

I hope you enjoy and appreciate all the efforts we are doing to make this group unique, special and eventually very exclusive.

Thanks.

Madonna & Lunna
